When he returned from his tour of duty in 1945, where he flew 32 missions in the European theatre of WWII, Art Riley started selling appliances in the rear of his pool hall, located in Madison, MO. Business grew to allow for more stores in the local communities of Paris and Moberly. In 1963, Art moved his family to Moberly and in 1968 started construction on the current business location on Highway 24 West. Through 3 expansions, the store grew to have the best selection of Appliances, Furniture, Electronics, and Flooring in the area. Service after the sale is one of the greatest attributes of Art's. "Anyone can sell boxes of product, but it takes special effort to keep things going," said Art. His philosophy of treating every customer as his neighbor has been passed down through three generations of Riley family.
